There are two universities in this region offering highly respected education – the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) and CQUniversity (CQU). USQ offers teaching from leaders in their fields and welcomes students from more than 60 countries, while CQU is one of the only three Australian universities listed in the Top 10 organizations that have been influential in the regional development space (Excellence in Research Report).
