If you currently work in residential facilities, community agencies or day centres as a leisure officer, recreational activities officer, divisional therapy assistant or activities officer or want to, this qualification will assist to expand your career options. You will learn how to design, implement and evaluate leisure, health activities and programs.
To achieve this qualification you will complete at least 120 hours of work placement as defined in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.
Successful completion of this program may assist students to gain entry into further study and/or may contribute towards study credits.
Students will have an option to study through RPL which involves considering a student's previous certified and uncertified learning in order to facilitate access to a program of study, or to grant exemptions from elements of a program.
