A. O. Capell Scholarship

To be considered for a Graduate Research Excellence Scholarship, you must: be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, either: have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a Master or Doctorate by research degree at the University of Melbourne, or be currently enrolled in a research degree at the University of Melbourne and have at least 12 months (full-time equivalent) of candidature remaining, and have not already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level as the course for which a scholarship is sought, and intend to study as a full-time student unless there are compassionate or compelling circumstances that prevent you from undertaking full-time study

Access Scholarships

Eligibility Scholarships are awarded by the School of Psychological Sciences Scholarship Committee based on the following: Rural/Regional Access Scholarship – Evidence of home residence in an area that meets the ABS criteria for rural, remote or regional Australia OR Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Access Scholarship – Membership of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community Any relevant academic achievement 500-word statement describing why the applicant wants to study psychology One-page statement (maximum) with additional information relevant to the application. This may include evidence of breadth of interests and achievements (e.g. music, sport, creative arts) or evidence of community involvement and leadership. Additional information of more than one page will not be considered. Each year there are up to six (6) Access Scholarships available for students commencing the Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (BPsychSci). There are two different types of Access Scholarships and although students may be eligible for both, only one can be awarded to any eligible student.
