Be a domestic student (this includes students who have received an Offer for Admission)
Have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours, or be regarded by USC as having an equivalent level of attainment via previous study, relevant work experience, research strength, research publications and other research experience
Maintain satisfactory progress as a full-time higher degree candidate at the University of the Sunshine Coast. In exceptional circumstances (e.g. heavy care commitments or a medical condition) a domestic awardee may apply to undertake part-time study.
Not hold a Research Doctorate or an equivalent research qualification
Not previously have held a Commonwealth-funded postgraduate research scholarship unless it was terminated within six months of the scholarship's payments commencing
Not be in receipt of an equivalent award, scholarship or salary providing a benefit greater than 75 per cent of the RTP stipend rate to undertake the HDR. Income from sources unrelated to the course of study is not to be taken into account.
