Study Queensland is the State Government organisation dedicated to promoting Queensland as a premier study destination and a preferred partner for education, training, research and innovation.

Study Queensland is responsible for delivering the International Education and Training Strategy to Advance Queensland 2016–2026 (Strategy), which focuses on enhancing student experiences. Attracting around 135,000 students from 160 countries, there are many different study locations in Queensland, each with their own outstanding, study offerings, opportunities and experiences. Encouraging sector collaboration and innovative projects that position Queensland as a world class destination for international students, Study Queensland’s main functions include:
- Implementing the global partnership plan which identifies key opportunities for Queensland’s international education and training sector across 20 priority markets;
- Delivery and evaluation of strategies, roadshows, events and programs to improve the experiences, mobility and employability of international students in Queensland;
- Onshore and offshore marketing, promotion and research; . Policy and advocacy to enhance Queensland’s international education sector;
- Fund eligible consortia to deliver projects aligned with the Strategy goals and leverage greater investment across the sector.
With a global education network across 15 key Queensland Government Trade and Investment (TIQ) offices around the globe and support from our regional offices, the Study Queensland team provides on-the-ground support to education and training institutions interested in accessing new opportunities and growing their overseas business development activities and for those looking for opportunities in Queensland.
