Erin is from China and is studying a Doctor of Philosophy at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. She previously completed a Diploma in Business; Bachelor of Business and Business Honours. As such, she understands the issues international students are facing and will utilise her position on the panel to contribute to the student community.
Erin decided to stay in Queensland after completing her bachelor degree to enhance her overseas experience. She volunteered for the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services as a translator, which allowed her to apply her language skills to translate fact sheets about preventing bushfires. Living in Queensland has also provided her with the opportunity to be a community ambassador for the Sudirman Cup, which was one of her dreams.
Erin is excited to join the Queensland Student Advisory Panel to improve her skills, enhance her experience in Queensland and utilise her abilities to further contribute to the international student community.
