Robina State High School
Kana from Japan talks about the Japanese Immersion Program and the Arts excellence programs being offered by Queensland State Schools in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
I chose to come to Queensland because of the warm weather. I chose Robina SHS because of the Japanese Immersion Program. I do Arts as one of my OP subjects, and I love it because I get to do art classes three times a week, which is very intense and very good. Our teachers at school are very friendly. They are very encouraging as well. In our Art classes, we get to showcase our artworks to the community, we get to write artist statements, which we don’t have to write in Japan. After completing Arts at Robina SHS, I’m planning to go to the University of Queensland to study Arts. — Kana Miyazawa, Japan
