Indigenous Commonwealth Education and Accommodation Scholarships

To be eligible you must: be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander be a domestic undergraduate student (this includes commencing school leavers and non-school leavers) be relocating from a regional or remote area demonstrate financial disadvantage by either: being in receipt of a means-tested Commonwealth income support payment; or a comprehensive assessment by the University. Not have completed the requirements for an Australian Bachelor award unless such an award is a pre-requisite to their undergraduate program of enrolment and there is no alternate pathway into that program

Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarships

You must be one of: an Australian citizen (including dual citizens) a permanent resident of Australia a permanent humanitarian visa holder a New Zealand citizen. You must also be: of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent from a low-income background experiencing financial hardship. We also take personal hardship into consideration when assessing applications. This includes: personal medical conditions disabilities dependants with special needs.

  • Value of scholarship An Indigenous Bursary (IB) of AUD $1,500 for one year only, to assist Indigenous students from low-income backgrounds to undertake study at QUT; an Indigenous Relocation Scholarship (IRS) of AUD $5,000 for one year only, to assist Indigenous students who have relocated from a rural or remote area to study at QUT; an Indigenous Costs Scholarship (ICS) of AUD $3,500 for one year only, to assist Indigenous students meet the cost of living and studying while at QUT.

Indigenous Postgraduate Research Award (IPRA)

You must: have a 4-year bachelor degree be studying or applying for a PhD, research masters, or professional doctorate be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and provide a confirmation of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander descent form stamped with a common seal belonging to a registered organisation.

Industrial Biotechnology and Process Engineering PhD Scholarships

You must have first-class honours (H1), a masters degree or equivalent degree from a recognised institution in a relevant discipline (such as process engineering, chemical engineering, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry or biotechnology) You must have either: a completed recognised relevant honours degree or equivalent a completed recognised masters degree or professional doctorate (by research or coursework) Masters and professional doctorate degrees by coursework must have a significant research component, normally not less than 25%. Holders of masters and professional doctorate by coursework must: have a minimum grade point average (GPA) score of 5.0 on QUT's 7 point scale; and present evidence of research experience and potential for approval Including English language requirements.

Industry Doctoral Training Centre Scholarship in Big Data

You must have either: recently completed an honours degree in computer science, data science or mathematical sciences, and received first-class honours completed a research or coursework masters in a related field. To participate in the research project, you'll need: strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to publish research results, prepare reports and present the results of scientific investigations at national and international conferences proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to prototype research ideas and develop them into demonstration and proof of concept systems demonstrated experience of programming skills (e.g., Java, C++, R, Python) to be enthusiastic and self-motivated. It will support your application if you also have: experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Apache Spark, Pig, H2O etc.) some exposure to visualization techniques and tools (D3.js, Tableau, OpenGL, etc.) a basic understanding of genetics.

Influence of Perceived Risk on Adoption of Sustainable Transport Modes

Students must have : a masters degree in a relevant area (e.g., psychology, behavioural sciences, transport engineering, urban planning public health, geography) that included a significant research component (no less than 33% of the total degree) have excellent written communication skills.

Information Technology Electrical Engineering Scholarship for UQ Foundation Year Students

Students will be considered for the UQ ITEE Scholarship after completing the UQ Foundation Year program.  Scholarships are offered on the basis of academic excellence. Only outstanding students who receive an unconditional offer for their EAIT program will be eligible to be shortlisted for the EAIT International Scholarship.

International Baccalaureate Student Scholarship

Applicants must: Be a graduate or graduating from an International Baccalaureate. Have satisfied all appropriate entry requirements for the proposed degree program, including results of previous study and English language proficiency as per Griffith University's entry requirements. Be commencing (not existing) and enrolling as a full-time student in an undergraduate degree in Trimester 1, 2 or 3 2018 at Griffith University.
