Studying in Queensland wasn’t always part of Josuel Caris Reyes’ plan. Originally from the Philippines, she expected to stay in her home country for university. But when COVID-19 disrupted education, she took the leap to study Biomedical Science in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

“I actually wanted to study in the Philippines,” Josuel says. “But during COVID, we weren’t allowed to go to universities. Here in Australia, their education and the way they handled COVID was really good."
