For Steve Jeong, the path to becoming a pharmacist hasn’t been direct, but it has always been driven by curiosity. As a child in South Korea, he was frequently unwell and had to cycle through different medications. “I started researching the medications because I wanted to know what I was putting into my body,” he says. It soon became a passion.

Now studying a Bachelor of Pharmacy in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, Steve is turning that early fascination into a profession – one that will allow him to help others understand and improve their health.

“Queensland will take me to the Olympics.”

Becoming a professional swimmer has been a lifelong goal for Min, who moved from South Korea to Queensland in 2019 to study in Brisbane. 

Balancing his education with a rigorous training schedule, Min has his sights set on the 2028 Los Angeles and 2032 Brisbane Olympics. He knows that every moment in Queensland is shaping his future. 

Min’s time in Queensland has left him with memories that will stay with him forever. “My most special experience was winning my first national gold medal in April 2024,” he says. “It was very special to me because I trained very hard."
