“I want to build up a career in the sustainable food system – using scientific knowledge to improve food quality and reduce the impact on the environment.”

Chang-Hung Peng, who goes by Hung, came to Australia from Taiwan with two goals: to explore a new part of the world and to build a future in sustainable agriculture. Now studying a Bachelor of Agriculture with a minor in food science and nutrition in Rockhampton, Queensland he’s doing both.

“My friends and family are very proud of me,” he says. “I came here with scholarship support.” Hung received both the Destination Australia and International Student scholarships. “They’ve helped me to focus more on my study and get better grades.”
